1C-PUR applicator installed in Ecuador

A new glue applicator, including automation components for the veneer transport was installed by Oest Mechanical Engineering in August at a customer in Ecuador. The 1C-PUR dosing and application unit serves a production for plywood panels made from balsa veneers.

The delivered Oest system is equipped with a movable portal that holds a 1.500 mm wide glue application head Oest FACETAC. It automatically applies parallel beads of adhesive and afterwards water as a reactant for the adhesive.

The scope of supply also included the complete component handling. Scissor lift tables and conveyors were well supplied and controlled by Oest and ensure a smooth flow of the work-pieces within the system.
