New edge gluing head in slim design

From the request of a customer to retrofit a 1C-PUR edge gluing system into a spatially limited four-side planer, the idea for a new edge gluing head in a very narrow design arose.

The new PROFITAC VN application head for edge application has 14 adhesive valves that can be switched in 8 mm increments. With a movable z-axis the application head moves about one adhesive bead up respectively down after each gluing operation. Due to this cyclic operation, all adhesive valves are regularly in operation and problematic hardening of individual valves is virtually impossible.
